This course, taught in English, is dedicated to an intensive study and translation of the
major sections of Hume’s Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion.
The standard edition is Dorothy Coleman’s : Dialogues Concerning Natural Religion and
Other Writings, Cambridge, Cambridge University Press, 2007 (DCNR). This edition
includes selections from The Natural History of Religion, that are to be carefully read.
About other works by Hume that you might want to look at: the standard edition for A
Treatise of Human Nature is the two-volume edition of David Fate Norton and Mary
Norton in The Clarendon Edition of the Works of David Hume (Oxford, OUP, 2007).
Volume 1 contains the text, and volume 2 some editorial and historical information. A less
expensive version of the text can be found in the collection Oxford Philosophical Texts
by the same editors. For An Enquiry concerning Human Understanding, the standard
edition is also The Clarendon Edition of the Works of David Hume, but many other usable
editions can be found, such as the student edition by A. Flew (Chicago, Open Court,
2000)
